Venting The Roof - Primary Factors 1
The pitch of the roof factor
It is really hard to achieve the proper air rotation mainly in the roofs with low slopes, because the vertical distance between the lowest part of the roof and the highest part of the roof is low.
Because of this, the minimum
roof pitch of 5% is recommended to vetilate your in-roof space as good as possible.
The surface of the roof
The less of the roofing surface together with the steeper slope - the thinner the air insulation layer has to be.
The more of surface and the flatter roof - the thicker the in-roof air insulation necessary.
The insulation air layer volume
The more insulation air in your roof you have - the better is the roof ventilation prepared.
The minimum thickness of the roof has to be 10cm with thze roof length of 10m or less. For every next 1 m of the roof length will be increased by 10%.
The shape of the intake and exhaust vents
Generally, it is recommended to situate the intake and exhaust roof vents in the very neighborhood of the roof ridge (exhaust) or roof soffits (intake).
