Roofing Staplers And Nailers
The stapler or
nail guns are often used by the finishing interior works, flooring installation or upholstery.
The industry grade, professional
pneumatic staplers
for staples larger than 5 centimeters (2 inch) can also be used for framing, butt joining wood, lathing and insulation.
The difference between staplers and nailers
The staplers and the nailers work the same way and produce the same result, the difference is in the coupling material they use. Staplers use various types of
U-shaped staples
.
The stapling gun (as well as the nailer) has the electro-magnetic striker that hits the staple so that both pins are symetrically fired towards the material (e.g. asphalt roofing). Based on the staple pins edge, staples either expand (open) in the material or not.
Nailers also use the electro-magnetic striker to hit the
roofing nail
on its (various shape) head.
Stapler gun work safety
The compact electric power stapler weigh as little as 1 kg and with proper preparation it is able to to hit 30 staples/minute.
The speed of the staple is 50 km/h - enough for injuring yourself, your family members or destroying the materials you planned to couple - therefore the majority of current staplers allows you to regulate the hit strength so you can use one tool on various materials (hard-, softwood).
Staplers can use unified dimension staples from various producers, stacker usually indicates the number of staples in it, or at least the full/empty state.
For safety reasons the staple is not released unless the stapler head is pushed to the surface with certain strength.
