Benton, Il Roofing Contractor Accused Of Fraud And Deceptive Practices
Timothy Hammond, a Benton, Illinois roofing contractor has been accused of scamming customers.
Hammond who was running his roofing business through three Benton roofing companies (Centamark, Kwik Seal and Allied Roofing) used to sign the roof repair contracts with prospective customers, then he collected payments but failed to even start the repair work.
The Consumer Fraud Bureau, that investigated Timothy Hammond based on several customersī complaints found such pseudo-performance a "violation of the consumer protection laws".
Hammond also has not paid the adequate insurance and failed to register the names of his roofing companies (Centamark, Kwik Seal, Allied Roofing) with the respective county clerks.
Based on the lawsuit results, Hammond can be banned from continuing his business activities, pay the rstitution as well as the civil penalty of $50,000.
